Group Classes

In addition to personalized treatment plans, our practice offers educational classes, corrective exercises, and breathing techniques to enhance healing and promote self-care at home. These techniques can be tailored to suit individual needs and may range from short 10-15 minute sessions to longer durations of 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Tai Ji

Tai Ji, also known as Tai Chi, is a centuries-old Chinese martial art rooted in qigong, a discipline of traditional Chinese medicine. This gentle form of exercise has a history spanning 2,500 years and has evolved into a graceful practice known for its stress-reducing benefits and positive impact on various health conditions. Often described as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi is low-impact and gentle on muscles and joints, making it suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi promotes the balanced flow of Qi, which is believed to contribute to overall health and disease prevention.

Tai Chi Moving For Better Balance

In partnership with the UC San Diego Center for Integrative Medicine and the California Department of Public Health, Dr. Sidnee Chong is trained and endorsed to teach Tai Chi Moving For Better Balance (TCMBB). This program, developed by Dr. Fuzhong Li of the Oregon Research Institute, is one of three fall prevention programs endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Qi Qong

Qi Qong, meaning “cultivating energy,” is a practice aimed at maintaining health, promoting healing, and increasing vitality. This system helps reestablish the body-mind-soul connection, with various styles focusing on standing or moving postures, breathing techniques, and mental focus. Some styles aim to increase Qi, while others focus on circulating it or using it to cleanse and heal the body. In our practice, Qi Qong is used to store and emit Qi to facilitate healing in others. Regular practice of Qigong can help restore vitality, maintain health as one age, and accelerate recovery from illness.

Yoga

Yoga offers many forms and benefits, and Dr. Siatnee Chong, a certified 200-hour yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience, considers it an integral part of her spiritual and health regimen. She encourages its practice to all her clients. Our sessions focus on gentle poses and modifications that are particularly beneficial for individuals recovering from illness or dealing with alignment issues. These modified poses are easy to learn, provide immediate benefits such as improved spine alignment and strengthened muscles, and promote proper breathing and stress relief.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture has been proven to work for over 2,500+ years.
